1. Have You had an internship, or participated in a Study Abroad or Study in America?

" Uh, not yet. I wanna go to France next fall."
2. -- N/A

3. If, yes or no: Why did you or haven't you participated? What stands in the way?

"It's a couple of Things. Mostly I'm just a timid person and I'm just like... trying to work up the courage to go. Another thing is the money you know its like you got to work up a couple thousand dollars just to get over there."

" It's just a lot of things but mostly that ... trying to work out a chunk of time when I can leave the United States. I've had other stuff to do in the past"
.

4. What do you think should be done to make these programs more accessible to student?

"uh, That's a good question.. I don't know... I don't know."

5. How do students benefit from these programs?

" Well, first of all traveling is a healthy experience, I say healthy not like for you body but like for your soul. It's... good to get out and go be in a different place where your unfamiliar and uncomfortable. Like, you know, conceptually like I said I'm very timid but I want to because of that thing and also for people studying things like the international studies or whatever ... the communications majors and stuff and for me like  I'm a French major so its good to go to France to talk French."

"There is this big umbrella of like... It's just kind of a well rounding experience and then it trickles down from there just depending on what you do and who you are."

6. What is the downside of such programs?

"Well their scary and they take up a big ole' chunk of your time. You know even if you just go for a summer you know that's x amount of weeks your not working if you have to work and pay bills... I say if You have to work and pay bills and stuff. It's a big ole' investment of money itself anyway. You know... You got to work it all way in advance and it's just a big ole' pain and that's just kind of a bummer."
